racign seats opinions
so my seats are all ripped up in my crx, and im thinking about buying racing seats...just wanted a couple opinions, are they comfortable to ride in? i want to keep my ride comfortable , and thats more for my girlfriends sake...also are there any brands that are superior to others, or are they all basically the same thing?
it kinda depend on what you like, if you prefer reclining seats or non reclining seats. in a ef id throw in some recaros or some mugen seats but thats imo.

Civics / CRX Sis from this generation came with Recaros. Mugen seats? Never heard of 'em.
Anyways, I suggest reupholstering or trying to snag a good pair of Sis or even the JDM ones. If you're worried about your GF being comfortable, she's not going to like racing buckets. Or just tell her she doesn't have to ride with you

Mugen seats for EFs? I'd like to see them. If you're referring to the ITR red Recaros, they are NOT Mugen.

i had a relatively cheap set of racing seats in my civic that actually saved my wife alot of grief. She got waved out around a UPS truck wanting to turn in her way and the truck behind the UPS truck decided to switch lanes without signalling. Long story short, she got hit driver side in the door (T-Bone style) at about 35 mph. She wound up with no damage cuts or bruises thanks to those seats. All she had was tons of glass in her hair.
corbeau http://www.corbeau.com/ makes really nice seats, and have different reclining and non reclining seats.

Mugen S1 buckets, still can find them and they're not red.

i spent 328 on both seats brand new and thats with shipping, go to procarparts.com and check out their seats, they r very comftibleand idk how u and ur girl r but never build a car around her being with u.....just a thought but yea check out the seats man
Honestly i'd say just get some Si seats they are really comfortable and they fit the car perfect since they are ment for the car!!
My 90 CRX Si had some DAD race seats in them, had a custom seat rail to fit them and they just seemed like they were still to hight and you almost hit your head on the roof...I just sold them and put Sis back into the car, so much better

I'd get the reclining ones, in case there's inboard play with the gf
Seriously, there are hundreds of seats available. You're better off going to your local store and try sitting on their display...then once you narrow down your choices, come back here and look for cheap ones.
Man, people are cheap here on HT, hahaha...

If possible buy some just nice condition Si seats or something. I bought racing seats for my civic. They were APC, not that great. I never put them in my car and sold them for what I paid for them. But I could have easily guessed they would suck for long trips, etc.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
i bought my f1spec seat because i always hit my head on my headliner. it non reclinable and a fixed bucket seat. if you fit fine in your crx, just get your seats reupolostered with new foam. your going to have to go to a custom shop for that. the foam prices from honda are a joke (may not be avaible anymore). the crx seats have a really good bucket seat feel and have really good lumbar support (lower back). i wish i could rock my stock seat. i dont fit unless i have it custom modified or something (have a lot less foam used for the seat bottom)
