I was just wondering what your times are with a ZC? I dont see the point in spending(this is just an average amount) $1500 on a b16 when you will only get an avrage of 14.8 when you can spend $600 on a ZC. I know that youre times arent going to be quite as good as with the b16 but im sure you could get pretty damn close. Plus you could use the extra money to start a home made turbo project that'll KILL a b16. So post your times please. Thanks.

I'm sure you'll hear many exceptions (I know a guy who knows a guy who runs at a track in Wyoming that runs 14.7 all motor in a Civic 4 door with 6 people in it), but realistically people average 15.3-15.5 in civics and about 15.1-15.3 in CRXs.
I've run a best all motor run of 15.2 @ 91 mph and a 15.3 at 92.5mph with my Si hatch ZC motor, I/H/E. I average 15.5 all motor.

what are you talking about b16 times?
this board is full of ZC owners .... if you search there will be more ZC times than b16...
i think b16 is too much of a hassle that's y not too many people have it but the ZC drops in
i've herad some wierd times also from 15.7-15.4 that's hb and sedans whereas b16s are 15.4-14.8 or something

my first CRX HF with a DOHC ZC, Si tranny, lightened flywheel, intake, exhaust, STOCK Si exhaust manifold, AUTO teg ECU, shitty tires, blown shocks all around, full interior, and it rained the night before on the track (about 55-60deg) was a 15.2@87mph.
i felt that it coupld have done way better with some good tires and new shocks, but i wrecked it a couple weeks later
my new 88 HF with the same engine, HF tranny (i blew up the Si tranny), ACT clutch, Zdyne SECU (PM7 tune, and 450 injectors), intake, exhaust, flywheel, broken rear engine/tranny mount. it did a 16.5@86mph. that tranny is fucked....
