I don't have any compression on my #1 cyl. changed the head gasket and same results, I had down shifted and my rpm's was too high before I shifted and didn't know ot and when I did look out. As we speak car will star but will mos def be RICH as hhell. Also the other cyl.s has comp @ 215, 180 ,210 ,0. Input please.

Hey Shade-Tree, when you changed the gasket, what did the valves look like?

Never heard of "blowing rings".

Cracked ringlands...thats another story.

Sounds like valves to me.

Sounds like every other "I misshifted and have no compression" bent valve story to me as well. man.

Next time you take the head off, hit the intake and exhuast ports with some carb cleaner if you can't see the bent valves and I bet #1 will **** fluid right into the combustion chambers.

I didn't look @ the valves, never crossed my mind. I don't hear any unusual valvetrain noise and the top of the #1 piston didn't have any marks indicating any contact.
