found this mani on ebay and offerd him 400 shipped. so i ended up with it. the welds are great and its an awesome design.had my wastgate flange welded on it it had a 44mm vband. But there are no markings on it.... its made of SH40 so its pretty tough. any ideas who made it?

Looks like someone tried to copy a Full-Race bend for bend.

 

For $400 you can't complain about that at all!

are you sure its not an older real f-r manifold?

Full-Race doesnt use that type of head flange. I dont think they ever have either.

That manifold looks like it was well built.... Cant go wrong with that for $400

i did not know that. i thought maybe it was pre robotic welding if they even had that design back then.

 

all of there top mounts are hand welded still to this day.. I was one of the first couple that got the top mount in 04 (I think like the third or fourth person before they released them to the public)

 

strike 2 for me lol i also didnt know they hand welded the top mounts. i thought it was all robotic now

 

hahaha dont qoute me 100% on that... they might be now... but I know when they first got the robot Geoff told me they were still hand welding the top mounts

thats what I thought but maybe its just the ramhorn that gets the robotic welds.

their site says they are robotic welded and from the looks of them they are

i wouldve just sold that wastegate and gone with the tial 44mm. thats a good comeup tho, especially for $400. you should email the guy and try to track down its origins.

When u find its origins, post it, becuase that looks older than most topmounts ive seen, maybe the guy who built it was WAY ahead of his time?

Regardless, their "hand welded" manifolds looked 1000% better than that. Even years ago..

400 shipped was a good deal IMO.. EBay is a "hit or miss".

damn. definately a nice find! i spent about the same for a sloppy welded equal length ramhorn mani from H-T. good buy. now go put it to some good use, or sell it to me!!! haha
