i was looking at buying a 1988 honda crx DX. i know that some years of the crx's arent any good, or at least not worth doing anything too. so what i am asking is, 88 a car worth buying.

 

yes an 88 is worth buying. there are small features that a 88 have that 89 90 91 envy. like seat belt on the pillar instead of the door, its light weight, this is about all i can think of, so good luck on your purchase.

 

as long as it isnt completely rusted out, then yeah its worth buying. places to look for rust...

foot beds

quarter panels

spare tire area

door sills

around the jack points (hopefully theyre there )

just take a look at the underside very carefully. make sure its in tact and not just bondo or undr coating slathered up under it.

that sounds about right also one other random fact, 88 has its own clutch/disk/trans combos than 89 and above.

this could be false information but ive actually found that a 89 is slightly different from a 90 which are both differnet from a 90-91 but this could be wrong, im basing this off information at my work

 

its a crx and if you like it get it. i love mine and never will sell it unless i have to
