Wheel fitment on an 04 Accord Sedan?
Hey, a friend of mine wants to run 18x7.5 or 18x8 wheels on his 04 accord sedan. i've tried to research some offsets and fitment options but i havent really found anything conclusive after searching on this site for a while. i really wanted to know if a sub 40 offset wud even work on the 04 accord? aside from the offset, wud a 18x8 wheel cause too many rubbing issues? anyones input wud be much appreciated
thanks in advance

215/45-18 TIRES
18x7.5 +48 will be perfect and wont rub.
he can check out my accord in my profile if u click my name
i am runnin 225/40r-18 tires w/ 18x7.5 rims but i rolled my rear fenders.

sick car MR.RLX....do u think running 18x8 would be too difficult? is it even possible? or would u have to hack away at the fenders...
also, is a more aggressive offset than 48 possible...say 40? lol thanks

i used 225/45r-17 on my old 17x8 blitz w/+35 offset but like i said before, i had rolled my rear fenders.
you can either run slight camber or just roll yer fenders if u want to fit something lower then +40 on an accord like that. yer gonna need need camber correction arms in the rear anyway if you planning on lowering the car 2 inches or more.
the reason the experts recommend 7.5 is because the 8 inch width will be stretched inside the 215/45-18 tires but it's on u. i used 225/40 on my gt-u's because they were mounted on them already when i got them. my speedometer was a little bit off but was bearable.

Rubbing depends on the wheel offset and the tire size.
The closest matching tire size really depends on the version Accord. 2004 Accords came with two different tire sizes from the factory. Low-end versions (e.g. DX 4-cyl) came with 195/65-15, whereas high-end versions (e.g. EX V6) came with 205/60-16, which is a lot larger in diameter.
I would recommend 215/40-18 as the best match for Accords which came with 195/65-15, and 215/45-18 for those which came with 205/60-16. Both sizes are approved for rim widths of 7.0-8.0 inches. I recommend 18x7 or 18x7.5, and NOT 18x8, to avoid the silly "stretched" look.
Neither of these tire sizes should rub, as long as the proper offset is chosen for whatever width wheel is used.
