i have a 90 civic lx AT that won't start when it's hot (temp half way). has no sparks. after you let it cool (about 30mins), it would start again, having sparks. usually you just wait for seconds then it could restart again, but now it's bad. has no cel. i got new dist cap, wires and plugs before it started getting worst. 50 amp ign fuse is black but still connects. i might buy a ign coil but not sure if it's the problem. planning to fix it tomorrow but need some advise. thanks.
havent dealt with this on a honda, but i have seen this time and time again on small block chevy's. in their case its the ignition module, the thing heats up and then the spark breaks down. you let the motor cool off and then you can drive it for a little while until it heats up again. sounds like you are havin that problem
ok im not reall yusre on all this but i think i read this somwhere. ok the distributor has bearings in it and when they go bad they just spin and heat up the distributor real bad and it once somthing in the distributor heats up to that temp. it wont spark. sory i cant remember exactly what it was but a d15 dizzy aint thet hard to come by. just call your local junk yard and get one for 60 bucks. lmk how it works out.
