pacesetter monza exhuast?
i'm looking to replace my exhuast on my 1991 crx dx and someone recommended that i buy a pacesetter monza exhaust:
1988:
http://www.autopartswarehouse....=1988
1991:
http://www.autoanything.com/ex....aspx
1) has anyone had any experience/ heard any reviews of these?
2) would you recommend this, or having a custom system built at a muffler shop
3) would this system be relatively quiet?
4) i like the dual tip more (88 model). would this fit on my 91 without modification?
i'm looking for something primarily that's quiet and secondly is performance oriented (going with the mini-me swap this summer)
thanks guys

THEY SUCK, it'll rust in less than a year. I had one back in the day for my CRX before I knew any better. I bought a Greddy after that and had it for 4-5 years no problem. I run an Invidia now thats 3 years old with no problems.
I had a Monza pipe on my Porsche 914 and QUICKLY changed back to OEM. It sounded horrible.
A friend also had one on his 914 and it did rust through in short order.
I decided to give Pace Setter one more try about 5 years ago and put one of their headers on my Civic. The paint cooked off the day I installed i and it rusted in short order, and I had to replace the bolts with OE Honda bolts because the ones that came with the header kept backing out.

ha ok so i guess the muffler shop's the way to go then? thanks for the quick response. what should i look for (ie galvanized/stainless steel, turbo exhaust, etc.)? i'm pretty much clueless when it comes to exhaust. i want something that will last and am thinking of painting it flat black unless i really like the galvanized look. it needs to be quiet and not choke the power too much.

X2!!!!!!!
THat's the way to go for SURE!! I have a Greddy Sp2 on my '89 DX and I love it! I've had to other Greddy exhaust and HKS and have to say brand name cat-back is the only way to go! not to mention that it's very quiet under reg throttle cause the muffler is so large
unlike alot of other cheap nasty sounding exhaust

Hottest **** ever, it will turn your honda into a ferrari! No seriously, they suck, if they did'nt rust then they will not be so bad. But my Big *** chrome tip rusted off after about a year or two. I was'nt very long, but the rest of the exhaust did'nt rust, the mid-pipe was the best part of the exhaust. I actually sold it on ebay for like $70 3 years ago.....gotta love ebay!
