About to be an R owner for the second time...
EDITED...PICS AND ISSUES POSTED PAGE
Just secured the deal for 00-1292 FBP. Been a couple years since 00-1390 was stolen. Now that I'm able to afford the costs to keep her safe this time, I'm going at it again. First mods, Lo-Jack and kill switches. Dad can get it installed with Early Warning for wholesale cost.
I'm flying out to Boston to pick her up tonight. If anyone wants to meet up and trade some wheels, let me know. I'm looking for bronze Volk's for the stock ITR wheels and tires. Anyone between Seattle and Boston.

By chance are you buying it from Brian? Black 2000 ITR 88k miles, toda headers, comptech springs and intake, c pillar bar, etc? I was seriously thinking about buying this car, had a great price, ($12k) clean title, but I just didn't go for it.

I didn't know Toda made headers for an ITR, or any 4 cylinder for that matter...

You missed it. You cannot have"headers" on an inline 4. You can have a HEADER. HEADERS belong on a v-configuration or a boxster. Lol Pet-peve

Sure did. Offered him $11k and he took it. Boston to Seattle is hardcore, but had to do it for $11k. I'm currently in Lansing Michigan visiting my cousin for the night. Took 12 hours from Boston/Salem. About 6 hours sleep and im shovin off.
Car's running good. Pretty clean. Came with an aftermarket antenna kit to plug the stock antenna, and I have all the parts to remove the rear wiper, factory OEM parts. He threw in the 2 and a Helms for $120. Just had servicing done less than a year ago, head gasket, timing belot, etc, all done. The aftermarket excaust sounds great, no tin can rattles and its not too loud cruising down the highway. And no I'm not alone...I have my pistol. ;-) Had a run in at a rest stop before...staying at my cousins tonight, but rest stops it is from here on out.
Surprisingly, I'm crusin around 80-85 witht he RPM's around 4500, and I'm still getting between 29-31 MPG...I thought for sure it would be down around 25. Driving it back is MUCH cheaper than shipping. THe last one from ebay was 1175 to ship, this one would have been around that also. I'll have about $300 in fuel, and $100 to buy enought miles so I had enough to comp a first class ticket.
Anyway, off to bed. I'll update again when I get home.

What a great price! The car just needs a nice detail thats all, I was going to go for it but I really love 98 CW's. Also did you ever ask Brian about the car being tracked? Why does he have a C Pillar bar, Steel brake lines, slotted rotors, etc. ? Thats one thing I was worried about. Doesn't matter for 11k who wouldn't pass up on that, especially with a clean title. Post some pics of it when you get home! (btw brian sure picked a good exhaust setup $$$)

I'm sure pics will be coming soon enough

Man! What a drive! I think I had like 50 hours driving...I don't remember. I made a couple stops to see some stuff I needed to see. So ok, I got a couple pics up for you guys. It was getting late by the time I got home to wash her. Some things I noticed that need to be addressed.
1) Windshield stripping is missing/falling off, and the channels on the top are mising, poor condition.
2) Windshield hasa couple chips but is in POOR shape...I assume the highway or salt got to it or something. Tiny tiny pock marks/chips. I'm replacing it through insurance, and will have my glass guy add the trim if possible. $100 deductable.
3) So I assume the salt got to it in MA. The engine bay is pretty crusty. The block, intake, distributor, alternator, and the black metal piece on top of the bumper are corroded or rusting. Check the pics. I have looked around and there is no rust yet to be found on the body, but I havn't put it in the air and pulled the wheels yet. I was gunna do it tonight but I'm too tired. Tomorrow... Anyway, it appears to be limited to the non painted/protected pieces, except for that metal strip on th ebumper top, and the end of the ITR Strut bar...bummer I know, but the bolts and nuts can be replaced. What can I do to clean that crap off short of taking it to a detailing shop?
4) Stereo wiring is poor. Front speakers cut out...big whoop. I will rewire everything. Man I hope the factory harness isn't cut...
5) Wheels are in not so decent shape. Curb marks and a center cap or 2 is peeling. It's all good. Winter wheels. I want Volks anyway.
6) A little squeek when you first start to roll, he said its the exhaust...I will check the mounts but I'm not sure.
7) The hood cable has a kink by the popper handle adn doesnt slid back into the sleeve without a little help. And without pliers, you have to pull the kick panel. Dad just found that the spring by the hood latch isn't pulling well either. The metal fitting for the bale is rusted. The cable maybe corroded too. At least not I can use my key and push the spring so I don't have to pull the kick panel.
8) Hatch loop is loose and moves around, causing the hatch to close crooked sometimes. I will tighten once i pull it in.
9) Drivers side head lamp housing got moisture in it. Anyone have one in good condition?
But ya. I'm happy. The under the hood mess was a little more than I thought, definately not a clean as 1390 2 years ago, but it can be cleaned up just as well. I'd say the rest is as good or better than 1390. The body is better, less rock chips. Straight less 1 minor pressure dent in the hatch that painless can pull out. It has issues, but all can be fixed. I mena come on, 11k for a celan titled R. And with all matching vins. I would like to have the one in Oregon that I saw on craigslist what had the JDM front and was all waxed and looked shiny new and was like $3k over book, but I just cant afford it. I really wanted a 97-98, but NO ONE sells those for book. Just don't have the cash to throw down... Anyway. I'm tired and i need to go for a drive before i lock her in the garage. Yes, after 3600 miles (with detours) I need a local drive to a couple buddies.

Oh ya, and I threw a CEL. Dad pulled the code. 0420 He said it was prolly from driving in excess of 90 MPH for an extended period of time. It it comes back he will put his other tool on it to see what it is for sure.
