Default 160k on a CRV, good or bad?

I'm looking for a crv, and found a 99 with 160k on it. It's the EX model. Should I be looking for something with less miles? They are asking $5300

Obvously it depends on condition and maintenance history. I haven't checked the Bluebook values, so I'll assume you did. Get it checked out by your favorite competant mechanic. Honda engines can last a long time if taken care of. I have no experience with CRV-s over 80,000 miles. I guess it all comes down to your budget and how long you intend to keep the vehicle and how many miles you want to get out of it.

hey "civiccandy" i got a 98 crv with 145,ooo km's on it. it's the "all time AWD version in green with a grey interior, selling for $7000 CDN. Im willing to negotiate since i live far from ur area. ill also pay for shipping and such.
MODIFICATIONS:

- NO MODIFICATIONS, just a custom deck install (USB compatible) and upgraded speakers.

MAIN REASON FOR SELLING IT:

I need the money and I wont' have any space for it especially for this year.

Recomended to look at:

- I assume this to be a natural thing because the car is getting old: due to the prolonger use to the suspension, the shocks need to be replaced.

- Just a tune-up at a regular Honda dealership should do just fine.

Again, this is a great car and unfortunately i need to sell it. If you are looking for a simple car to drive from point A to point B, this car is good enough.

THE IMPORTANT STUFF:

well here comes the part about the price. Im trying to sell this car for about $7000 CDN, BUT, (and this is a big but), I am VERY willing to negotiate on account of I need this car to be sold ASAP.

If any one wants this car, or even wants it for spare parts or something, send me an email at ryan_reeves10@hotmail.com

also, if you want to see pictures of the car, send me an email as well. thx

Might be interested in the CRV. What is the US to CDN conversion rate, and how do you convert km to miles? I drove the one that had 160k on it. It was in good shape, but I could tell it had alot of miles. It seemed to have a bit of torque steer, which seemed odd to me. But I'm used to driving a rwd vehicle, so maybe it's normal. They wanted $6300 for it, not $5300. I may offer between $4k-$4.5k, lets see pics of yours

a rough conversion is about $1.20 canadian for every USD.

my mom's cr-v is 135k. it drives great. only problem is the transmission/transfer case noise... check that out. (2000 se crv)

Kilometers x .6 = miles

miles x 1.6 = kilometers

so 160,000 km = 60,000 miles

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by golf &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Kilometers x .6 = miles

miles x 1.6 = kilometers

so 160,000 km = 60,000 miles</TD></TR></TABLE>

OR

K = 1,000

there for 160K = 160,000 MILES which is how USA market displays mileage of a car.

ie: i went in for my 90k tune up.
