I have gsr front brakes to install on my ej and can't seem to get the spindle off the axel. I have tried penetrating oil and a dead blow mallet. Any suggestions would be great. mind you I am doing this in my drive way.

 

You have integra brakes...gsr isnt special.
If you have the lower ball joint separated already...I sometimes use a multi-claw puller.
I will just thread on the lug nuts and use them for the claws, setting the driver into the axle's indentation.

Then again, if you dont have the joint separated.....you have to

 

the ball joint was separated I will try the splitter/puller. thanks.

 

Heat the axle up, I suppose.

 

first question do you have a EX coupe or other model?

and the way i do it is make sure the ball joint stud is out of the lower control arm and pull the spindle back as far as i can and take a mallet and hit the axle it should pop out of the spindle no problem good luck

 

yea...and there are certain flat points on the suspension components..you can either loosen it with a couple of taps and then the hard whack or heat it up and whack it loose where these flat areas are on the suspension components
