90-93 honda accord
man..i notice alot of civic and tegs are doing the h2b swap....well since im new to this accord thing...and i really don't know anything about it...but can the 90-93 honda accord also do the H/F2B swap? and is it possible...if it is...is it worth it?
For the Civic and Integra, it is worth it.
The Accord and Prelude use cable linkage from the tranny to the shifter, Civics and Integras use rod linkage. So when they swap a H22 engine and tranny into their Civic/Integra they have to cut a hole for the linkage to go through and also fit the different shifter to the car. So for them to have an adapter plate that allows them to use a tranny with their normal rod linkage is a plus for them.
For the Accord or Prelude, it is not worth it.
You would have to come up with a tranny mount, and a way to fit the rod linkage and shifter into the car. All of which would be custom.
So is it possible? Sure, with enough time/money anything is possible. Is it worth it? No, not IMO.

Other things to consider about the H2B kit:
Civic and Integras with H22 engine and tranny swaps had problems with their axles, because the H22 tranny placed the axles in awkard positions. Besides the customization that TouringAccord mentioned, using an H22 tranny in those cars required cutting/welding new tranny mounts. The H2B kit was a solution to all of these problems.
When swapping an H22 tranny into an Accord, you would use Honda tranny mounts -- no cutting or welding required. If you used the H2B kit in an Accord, you would have to cut/weld custom tranny mounts and shift linkage. Then, once everything was installed you would be plagued with the same axle problems that Civic/Integra guys had using H22 trannies.
But yes, like TouringAccord said, anything is possible. I would highly recommend against it though.
