Default Good head gasket to raise compression.

While im puttin' in my cams, I might'd as well take the head off and put a new head gasket in. Just curious what's a good gasket to raise compression and maintain longevity. Thanks.

Try one of TODA's headgasket. They offer them in different thickness.

theres a big difference between dropping in cams and pulling a head. pulling a head just to put in an overpriced headgasket isnt worth it to me, but if u do you should get the head resurfaced, and while its at the machine shop u could have them mill it a little, possibly valve job while its there. and since its apart, have them assemble it w/ new springs & retainers.

In this day and age, everything is overpriced. Since everything is overpriced, we should all keep our cars for it's intended purpose, fuel economy.

The man asked a question, I simply answered, not jump into some theology in tuning. He wants a good headgasket, buy TODA. Is it overpriced? Yeah definitely. Is it good, probably so. Did he ask for people to be cynical? Nope.

i wasnt being cynical. i myself am using a overpriced mugen headgasket. i was just saying pulling the head just to put a new gasket in there isnt worth the elbow grease, and if he does decide to, he should consider those other things too. thats exactly what i did. but i pulled the head cause of bent valves not just to put a thin gasket in.
