Default best way to spend $1000 for performance.

I have $1000 to play with so ima spend it on my car. what would you do with it if you had a stock 2003 rsx type s.

my OG plan:

reflash #4 = 590
injen cai = 265
hondata img = 55
window tint = 140

roughly a grand right their. what you guys think.

Save on the reflash and get K-Pro later.
If you are going to go with a traditional CAI, go Fujita to save some $$.
Hold off on the IMG if you plan any internal engine work in the immediate future to save the headache of installation, otherwise go for it.
Get a decent exhaust system w/header.

CAI - $185 - right now on ebay
Exhaust - $550 - research what style/sound/brand you like
Header - $100-500 - Comptech is $500, but Megan has a exact copy for $100.
Buddy Club short shifter - $120

if 1000 is your budget and you just want performance

i would do fujita cai, esmm, 05-06 type-s exhaust, hondata #4
190-+25+590+200= 1005 (used i/e)

you CAN always upgrade to k-pro later on but if you want the speed now, this would be your best bet

stiffer motor mounts might not be a good upgrade for everyone as driving gets a hell of a lot more uncomfortable with all the vibrations u get from the engine after installing them.

esmm = energy suspension motor mounts
decreases wheel hop and it smooths out shifting if you can withstand the annoying vibration
anyone of those mods can affect your warranty if something happens and acura doesn't want to fix it
think of it as acura's excuse on "we shouldn't have to fix that, he modded it"
just keep that in mind
or don't let them know you have the mods, and IF you have a problem or need servicing, just remove the mods

If you can find an injen CAI used, that is your best bet. I got mine for $125 and it works fine. If it were me, I would try and find a used header and intake to save some money. It will do the same thing as a new one aslong as it isn't cracked. Check clubrsx for parts for sale.

ESMM will void warranty I'm sure. The only things you can do and still have warranty for sure are:
Cat-Back Exhaust, cosmetic mods., and Intake that doesn't have a steel pipe going down below the fender.

I would buy K-Pro or another product thats around $1000. It's alot easier to get the bigger stuff out of the way when u have a good chunk of change and then getting the smaller cheaper stuff later then it is the other way around.

K-pro on '05-'06 is much more complicated cause you have to get an '02-'04 ECU.
Relash is much easier, but if you want more than just i/e than you need the K-Pro.
With Reflash for '05-'06 if you get i/rh/e you'll run way to lean. I want an nice mild setup, which will still be fast as hell with the reflash i/e.

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but i would suspect with a name like 03RSXTypeS he might not have that problem.

get the testpipe

but to me, its useless compared to a rh
i perfer to save a couple hundred more to get the rh over the testpipe
but to stay under the 1000 budget, the testpipe would be the best bet
