is there any difference between the air box on the sohc del sol and the dohc vtec del sol? if anyone has pics of the stock intake on a dohc vtec del sol please post them.

the stock intake tube on a dohc motor is much bigger in overall size then the sohc one

I hope you're not trying to swap them, you're time would be better spent with a drop in K&N.

 

I have already orderd a new dohc vtec del sol tube from honda I just wanted to make sure it was going to fit to a stock civic air box. I noticed on majestic honda that the box for the dohc vtec del sol costs more than the civic or sohc del sol box.

 

I'm 99% positive it wont match up. The intake manifolds are different from d series to b series.

You might be able to make it work.

 

they look exactly the same but the dohc vtec one is just wider, I can't imagine it wouldn't fit but I'm just really trying to figure out if there is any benifit from getting the dohc vtec box over the sohc one. I wan't to know if it's bigger or anything, and i noticed k&n's filters differ in price between the civic and del sol dohc vtec. I also forgot to mention I'm running a b18c1 with a skunk2 intake manifold.
