Default Man, my 00 PY ITR. (project)

Well, its been a long time now since i've been dreaming of one day owning an R. And now she's here. Only had 1 original owner, and 43000 miles on the chassis. Salvaged from New York due to theft but the body is still in good condition. Its missing a lot of stuff and i know the R sticker isn't in the right place. But i had a few questions.

1. looking at the picture, do you think that the rust has spread and is there a way i can get rid of this cancer before it spreads? Its about 3 inches long.

2. judging by the wires inside the car, everything had been cut. The ecu, the interior wiring harness, the cluster harness, and the complete fuse box is gone and wires were cut. (not pictured). By replacing the complete interior wiring harness and fuse box will this take care of it?

heres some pics of the car from the seller.

This is going to be a very simple project. Simply restoring her w/out any major bling.

**update**
Just picked up some rear quater pannels, recaro srd and a custom x bar.

1. The rust doesn't look bad, but I would replace the whole 1/4 instead of body filler. That will take care of the rust.

EDIT: Can't tell if the quarter is smashed in. The other pics, the quarter looks fine. I would grind the rust off, body fill, primer, and paint.

2. I would get new interior harnesses and fuse box.

that rust ist too much to be worried about, i dont know if id replace the whole quarter, looks to be like 3 inches of rust, correct me if im wrong. also depending on how much time and patience you have, you could attack the wiring yourself, but for the money, id just replace it all. good luck on the rebuild.

If i were to get a new fuse box and complete interior wiring harness would that take care of the mess?

Whoever stole it pulled off the 5lug because its worth money and replaced it with 4lug (prolly off the car they swapped it to) so they could dump the shell.

I'm all about saving an R, but the amount of work and money that would go into a project like this - i would just look for one already together. You need everything, plus the shell is damanged too.

Good luck on the project.
