its a long shot but check your timing on the bogging if it clears up within a couple hundred rpm's

common mistakes are when the tps and map sensors are switched around...

Yeah, but then why no check engine light with the single cam ecu.

It has to be some function that the DOHC has that the SOHC doesnt. The single cam ECU doesnt have a knock sensor. The DOHC does. So maybe your knock sensor isnt wired in correctly or at all. If this is happening, the ECU might pull timing because of safety issues. Hopefully someone can tell you what sensor code those blinks translate into.

code 23 is vtec spool valve.

22 is oil pressure switch (vtec) but you weren't throwing that one.

Otherwise if you can get a plug with some wire to plug up to your knock sensor for an oem fit. Then just run the wire through the firewall and solder into ecu harness.

Maybe Its because ur using a p30 ecu=obd-0 with an obd1 engine. Can that be why?

Code 36 is for JDM traction control....no way to turn it off unless you have your ECU socketed and have someone burn you a chip.

Go to the link above....that will help you.

where did the motor come from? are you sure it is good(compression). check compression. see if your spark plug wires are correct. listen to each injector wit a screw driver. pull each spark plug wire(one at a time while engine is running) and listen.

does the car run smooth at any rpm?

how old is your fuel?
timing?
has ANY work been recently done to the car?

i just bought the motor last week from hmotors in burbank,ca.......it bogs when i accelerate..and right after i'd say after 3 rpms.it runs smooth.......fuel is maybe a week old..when i had the single cam in.i had pumped 87 octane..timing is good....when i got the motor the tps was off...so i just screwed it back on.

As for the kid that has a mis fire at 4-6 RPM its your spark plugs and wires cap n rotor dude! Change those and you should be fine. And as you the OP Check you firing order sounds like you might be running on a couple cylinders
