the least it would do is lower the under hood temps, and if your running no intake on the turbo, maybe lower IAT's

i seen some guy w/ a boosted 5thG prelude wrapped EVERYTHING: mani, dp, dt, and his entire IC piping. when i asked him why, he said "every lil bit counts"

yupp....everything on my new setup is going to be either ceramic coated or painted with that heat resistant/rust resistant paint and heat wrapped ontop of it

haha that's funny...it'll smoke like a bitch too when you first start it up.
I'd either wrap the piping that goes to your tb or the peice right after the turbo if it comes close to your downpipe.

hahaha....
but ya man, i'd prolly do that one first. If not that one, the lower charge pipe, i haven't seen your setup so idk, but in general this piece is close to the dp and wrapping it can help keep down heat soak from the engine bay...either one will work and most likely will have the same overall effect, it's just a matter of where in the system it does it at

Spend yo money like you got a lot, so it keeps things from getting too hot.

Thats the story of how to heat WRAP, if you dont like it you deserve a slap.</TD></TR></TABLE>

ROFL!!

Personally I'd have it coated. It wouldn't cost all that much, it will keep it from rusting to hell, and probably be much more effective since those manifolds are compact & tight like a virgin flower girl.

If you really want some baller ****, go to mcmaster.com and look up ceramic heat wrap. Its good to 1800F (fiberglass is ~1200F iirc), and insulates better than fiberglass. I have a 1/2" thick section of the same material - I can wrap it around my finger (1 layer thick), put a propane torch to it, and not feel a thing after a whole minute. Not only that, but it does not burn it, just glows dull orange when in the flame. ALSO... its much more pliable, so its easier to get in tight spaces.

I see a few different similar products on their site, but not sure which one you are talking about. Could you give product #? And how would this stuff compare to ceramic coating, like Swaintech's?
