Hi,

how long needs the cat to be with a usdm header and a jdm cat back?
I know the the pipe sizes are different, I only need to know about the cat lengths

thanks

Ok, other question. Is the jdm b pipe longer than the usdm and if yes, how much ?

The cat needs to be approximately 13" long.

Is it also correct that the b-pipes are the same? The reason the jdm cat is shorted is because the jdm header is longer, compared to the us.

No. There is a slight difference in the length of the JDM and USDM exhaust manifolds, but the main difference is in the length of the exhaust B-pipes. The JDM cat is shorter primarily because the JDM B-pipe is longer.

or should that be, the b-pipe is slightly longer because the cat is shorter

Good point. I should have phrased that differently.

I see, so I had it backwards. What is this slight different in the manifolds? An inch or two? Or it doesn't even make a difference because the lengths are so close?

Ok so lets sum this up

jdm header + jdm cat back = 12" cat
usdm header + jdm cat back = ~13" cat
usdm header + usdm cat back = 17" cat
jdm header + usdm cat back = ~13" cat ?!

Fixed for you.

It's around 3/4", which really doesn't make a difference because of the flexibility in the exhaust hangers.
