NHRA Membership?
Did I read somewhere that you now have to be a NHRA memeber to run the SFWD class?
If this is the case is this the correct member ship to purchase?

Thank you so what happens if I sign up today and want to race in a few weeks and don't have the membership? It says allow up to 6 weeks for processing. Does that mean I can not race? Also what about people that come to the event to run and did not know they needed to be a member? Can they become one there or are they SOL? Maybe Dbigman can chime in.

Read the PDF files on the NHRA website. It is clear as to what is required for a membership and what it takes to race in the sportsman class.
"All drivers competing in Q16, SS, SPFWD, SPRWD, AM, HR, MOD, PFWD and PRWD running 9.99 or quicker (4.50 to 6.39 for eighth-mile) are required to have a valid NHRA competition license and NHRA membership."
