massive leak but whats leaking?
this morning when i moved my civic, i noticed a humongo pool of some liquid, dunno what it is. it looked like water but it did not dry. it came from near the driver side front tire. i check the engine oil and transmission oil and they both were at the right amount.
so what could be leaking near the front driver tire?
maybe brake fluid? someone help quick, need to use this car

if the engine and tranny oil is good. check all the other fluids. brake fluid is still full in the reservoir? pump the brakes to see if fluids leaks from a line or caliper.
Also check the radiator. look under the car to see if you can see any residual fluid still under the car? underside ?

the brake fluid resivoir is on the drivers side mounted on the fire wall, its a metal cylinder with a pretty big plastic resivoir on top. its in plain veiw when you open the hood
Sounds like brake fluid if it is yellowish and oily. Check driver side firewall around booster and master cylinder. Also check all the brake lines/fittings. If you have power steering it could be that also. What kind of car is it?

oh man... break reservoir is on your firewall on the drivers side. like someone has already said. or if you want to do it this way. looking at your engine you'll see a few things with caps on them.. the one that is at the top is the breaks. and why did you circle the exhaust?

what the hell does that have to do with anything?
To the op: first you said it was coming from near the driverside tire, now you are circling the exhaust. How much liquid are we talking about here?

Don't be so harsh on the guy, jesus christ. He's a noob, obviously, and is probably here to learn. Ragging on him isn't gonna help him, or you for that matter.
And As far as what is leaking... are you the only one that ever parks in that spot? if not, it could very well be from someone else.
edit - try filling your windhield washer reservoir (one with the blue cap up near the headlight), and see if it just runs out, sometimes they crack, and leak fluid.

just a far off guess.
dog ****??
seriously, i think even a blind person can track the source of a fluid leak.
how hard is it to look? im not asking you to be mechanically inclined. just follow the damn trail of fluid.
have you actually tried to drive your car to see maybe whats wrong?

no ac in pic. and thats under the passenger side firewall.
seriously, the only other fluid in the engine bay no one else has mentioned is the windshield wiper....
come on, whats the point in guessing... just look.

Did ya put water in there? Time to pressurize the system and look for the leak.
In your case, take it to a shop before you get hurt.

first off before you come to a conclusion its the rad fluid,
when was the last time you filled up your radiator with water/antifreeze
it does burn off sometimes and it could have been a while before you changed it
if you see a droplet of fluid touch it with your finger and see what color it is
green-colant
black /brown - could be either oil, power steering (dirty), brake fluid(dirty)

ha. the collant is probably bad !
get that changed
what color is the fluid, try to find a "fresh" drip meaning somethign that looks like it is lik e a new droplet you get what im saying tell us whatcolor it looks like (look hard it might be dirty)
you said the level on the brake and power sterring resevoir are fine? above min line
