Very Wierd and confusing
I had my clutch and flywheel installed and got my car back! Right before that I installed a buddy club short shifter in my Ep3 2002. Now, when I hit the brakes my running lights in the headlights come on with the brake lights. What the expletive is that about. is there a realistic place to start? the underdash fuse box? This is rediculous, kinda neat like front brake lights but seriously. Also, If the drivers door is open, and the key is not in the ignition and you depress the brake pedal it buzzes? help, Personally I'm more concerned with the lights issue.
hahahahahahaha!!!!
thats awesome!!! We used to do that to mess with people. Hook up brake lights to horns, etc...
If nobody is messing with you, they may have crossedwires or something...
I think someone's messing with you though...

Well my clutch was done at a very reputable shop, but we I kinda know the owner so it is a possibility. Where should I check the wires? And what about the buzzer when I press the brake when the key isnt in the ignition?
Help, just trying to find a good starting point to work these issues out! I found that the passenger rear side lamp had come out and the bulb is busted. could a blown fuse have done it?
the buzzing probably has something to do with the fact that the front lights are on (headlight-on warning) which is a common safety and battery-saving feature. I can't tell you the number of times I've left the headlights on in my EP.
As far as the brake light/running light thing goes, I'd take it back where you had the clutch put in and ask. The owner may be like that. I know I'd do it to a buddy of mine if I got a chance at his car. Replace the passenger's rear bulb and try it again. The lack of bulb may be causing excess electrical current to build up in the wiring, allowing the power to feed some other light source. Also, pull the shift boot off and check to see if there are any pinched wires around or under the short shifter.
Get back to me with any more info. I can't really diagnose electrical system problems from hundreds of miles away and/or over the internet, but this is at least a start.
