If I remember correctly , it's not recommended to wax a brand new car for a certain time period. However , after reading some posts here I noticed that quite a number of you have done so already.... What's the dealio ? I've got the itch to wax my fit but I'm unsure whether or not it's okay ? Someone shed some light on this !

Also , what kind of wax should I use for carbon fiber ? I'm sporting the spoon style wing and I'd like to keep it lookin new

 

I work in detail at a car dealership and i can assure you that it is fine to wax your car. Just be sure to wash ALL of the dirt off of the paint before you apply the wax otherwise swirl marks will result.
As for the carbon fiber, as long as it has a few layers of clear coat a simple light paste wax will work great.

 

Unless you recently got your Fit or any other car painted, I don't see a problem with waxing

 

it's ok to wax a new car. OE's bake the finish fully so it cures right away.
