Throttle position sensor
hey guys i'm on a trouble shooting on my car. well before i rebuilt my head i notice that every time it hit around 30-40 mph it would slip.. well just today i put my engine back together and i notice that the car does not slip anymore but my throttle position sensor is acting weird.. i went ahead and unplug it .. the car sure runs better when i unplug and plug it back in.. i was wondering guys could it be the throttle position sensor that causes the slip? i am planing to visit the auto parts store to get a new throttle position sensor.
my car ran ok right now it just that problem, a little smoky i wouldn't blame it since i left it sitting for a week...
please help me trouble shoot guys.. i thought it was the tranny that went out on me but i hit full throttle metal to metal today and the car does not slip like before..

i wonder about the throttle position sensor because on my friend car, he owned a licoln contenital and his car slip as well but he just put a new trany in there.. so one of the expert thought it was the throttle position sensor.. we would have try and get a new one but its a dealer items which cost alot
timing belt is a little off i guess.. my motor idle too high.. i guess i advance it 2 degree.. which is a good thing if i want to go all motor but i dont really want the car to idle high..
