I bought mine at Auto Anything. It was pretty cheap and I've noticed a slight improvement in passing power on the highway. It's not break y0 neck VTAK or anything, but the car seems to pass more freely now and there is a change in sound. I'll report back with gas mileage changes.

Yes there is. You should be able to tell when you remove your old filter. This pic I took should help. See the larger side (on the right side of the K&N)? That goes towards the bottom.

Since my first oil change and the addition of the K&N I got 30 mpg finally. The funny thing is I AutoX'd on that tank of gas. I'm hoping to get mid 30's this next tank of gas. More on that soon.

How much is that K&N? It sounds like it may be worth investing in, if it can return my money on gas mileage.

not sure what you mean by the larger side. on the side there is the K&N logo, i just put it right side up so the logo is not upside down. and the borders one side is smooth and the other side goes in with like border tabs. the smooth part i circled, should this side be facing up or down?

That's where I purchased mine. $34.95 + free shipping.

I can't promise you'll get better gas mileage. Who knows for sure, but I think the combo of my first oil change and the K&N helped so far. I'll update this thread with more results.

Does this pic help? Larger = taller side is what I meant.

It only fits one way correctly just like you mentioned in your edited post. If you have it like my pic shows you'll be good to go.

You can hear the engine a little more than stock. You could always remove the intake silencer if you want more sound.

I think I read somewhere that K&N also makes a short ram intake for the Fit that makes a little over 5HP to the wheels. I beleive that would be a better investment, at least to me.

Yeah once they fix the parts it would be a great investment.
But yes I invested in a K&N drop-in filter and I noticed a 2-3mpg increase and I also notice great acceleration on the FWY.

I just ordered a K&N drop-in filter for my Fit. And I'm about to do another oil change here at the same time. I've already got a little over 13K miles so far, but, I'm going to compare my mileage I have seen so far in my Fit with mileage after the install of the K&N. I'm already averaging 38.3 MPG. So, if it increases I will be ecstatic.

Sorry man but they are offering replacment parts. Its strange that you were able to order one cause the guy helping me said they stopped taking orders till they fix the issues. I would contact K&N ASAP if you just recently order it.
