just picked up some snow tires on honda rims for free. wondering if they are any use for cali weather - sun and rain.... i was just thinking about using them for just burnout tires.

 

Well, they're not going to grip all that well in warm weather. Can you use them? Yes; they won't melt or anything. And most of them have a fairly low speed rating, so I wouldn't go 100+ mph on them, either.

If they were mine, I would sell the tires (in the marketplace forums or on ebay).

 

Are you serious? They do make good burnout tires!

 

so would it matter if you ride on snow tires all year round in cali?

Only if you care about performance (grip and handling).

In hot weather they start to really feel slippery. Oh, and in the summer they will last about a month and they will be done. They have absolutely no treadlife in the hot summer weather.
