Default gsr tranny on ITR motor

i was wondering if any of you guys have used this setup? i know the gsrs gear rations are a little longer than the iTRs but will this affect the performance much? im getting a type r motor on friday from my friend but he traded his itr tranny a few months ago for an ls tranny with lsd because he was gonna go turbo and now he cant get the itr tranny back so he is just gonna put on a 2001 gsr tranny on the itr motor. which will be mine. but i was just wondering if anyone has done it and if its a good setup. cause i know gsrs tend to drop down in rpm when going to second gear.

well right now i dont have the money to get an itr tranny. so i was gonna use the gsr tranny on it for a while. just seein if anyone had done this and what they thought about it. cause i was kinda thinking that using the gsr tranny would make it a little slower but i dont know

I'm running a type-r motor wit gsr tranny w/type-r lsd. I love it. I don't see a big differences I have driven a few type-Rs and raced them. I understand the differences between the 2 trannies but not enough of a difference for me to get a type-r tranny.
