Default ITR oil pan?

Does the ITR oil pan have a p30 on it or no? can a gsr oil pan fit on a type r block? Trying to figure out if this motor is a jdm r or a poor r.
Has the p30 head
type r manifold
but a p72 oil pan
Any other distinct ways of telling appart the blocks?
Stamped B18C

The GSR and the Type R use identical oil pans. The bare GSR and Type R blocks are identical anyway, go check the stamp on the other side of the block, both the Type R and GSR blocks will say P72.

From my experience, you can use any pan you want so as long as you have matching Oil Pickup and Dipstick.

but b18c blocks have the girdle and a deeper pan to compensate. ls/b16's dont use a girdle and would have a shallower pan.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out since the OP doesn't seem to be following the thread anymore.

I have a b18b block and I am trying to get the oil pan, pickup, and baffle pan to work. I have a b18c1 oil pan, baffle and oil pickup but the baffle pan won't bolt up to my b18b block (LS/VTEC). So I am wanting to use an LS baffle tray with a b18c1 oil pickup and oil pan. Will this work?

Correct and Correct. The Oil Pickup on the B18C blocks sit lower because of the deeper pan. The Oil Pickup on the LS/B16 sit higher because of the shallow pan. We ran into an issue with a B18C1 engine that we did not have an available P72 oil pan for. We had an extra LS motor laying around. At first when removed it would not clear the Oil Pickup. Instead of bending the Oil Pickup, we removed the oil pick up off of the LS engine and installed it on the B18C1 engine. It is a real tight fit and the Oil Pickup barely portrudes out of the girdle. I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent fix, just a bandaid fix until you can get the proper oil pan which we did a week or so afterwards.
