Can some one tell me what they think i should do i need a new Catalytic Converter my cat is shot should i just throw a cheap ebay one on or should i get a magnaflow? also i have a OEM exhaust dose it matter if i throw a high flow cat on or do i need to go stock?

 

A Magnaflow is an actual catalytic converter, but I've heard ebay cats are just resonators, I've never actually seen one though. I have a Magnaflow weld-on cat, the only downside with the weld-on is that means you have to weld it onto your b-pipe (header) and exhaust piping, which makes upgrading to a nicer exhaust system or header more difficult and requiring more welding on those expensive parts. Finding a catalytic converter with flanges is the best way to go.

 

Do everything at once. Megan header with a 2.5" collector mod, Magnaflow cat, and 2.5" exhaust. That way you have it all welded together and you've got everything done. Anyway, the eBay test pipes are just 12" resonators, vs Magnaflow/Carsound are real higher flowing cats. They're about $50 shipped on eBay
