First time at a track, EVER
Basically, im on stock summer tires 21k miles, and the mods below.
This was my FIRST time ever at a track, and it was a low quality 8th mile track.
My biggest problem is launching. I tried 4k, 4.5k, and 5k. launches. All spins. I ran consistant 10.5s. Wasn't really paying attention to my reaction times but my friend say they were decent. I didn't get any time slips since this was basically just learning time. I'm hoping next time I goto a track to have my Nitto NT-01s on.
Overall it was a lot of fun, but I still have a lot of practice and learning to do.

bog? your car idles at 500 rpms.. how would it bog out 2500 rpms gives you a nice smooth launch.. tires hook vtec already engages.. all the spinning launch ,wheel hop is gone and you have some left of the power band before you shift

What? If I rev to 2500 and pop the clutch its going to drop to ~1000 or less and thats just as bad as spinning...

I think you feather the clutch a bit. I am not sure popping the clutch is the best way.
I have not been to a track in years, but I remember there was fine balance between lauch rpm and feathering the clutch. When you get it right, your tires stick, your rpm remains is the power band and you don't abuse the clutch too bad. However, all my experience was with rear wheel vehicles. May be something completely different for front wheel cars.
