Air Condition problem with 2000 accord ex 4cy
My airconditioning only blows cold air while the car is accelerating. This just started a couple of days ago. When you are idoling it only blows hot air? It has not been overheating at all.
it's either
1. door stuck partially open
2. low charge
3. loose belt (you would hear it squealing)
it might be but not likely
4. blockage in system
5. faulty compressor
6. bad clutch that is slipping on compressor (u would smell something burning)

Not really sure about that. I am suppose to have someone check it out for me this evening. Thought it might just need added coolant but I was told I could do more harm that good if that wasn't the problem. I have not heard any squeaking from the belts.
blockage in the system usually indicates compressor failure if the system is not leaking.
you can usually know this by taking pressure readings on high and low side and determine what is going on based upon the readings.
