Default Took the shop mustang to the track

This was pretty cool. I had the pleasure of tuning this beast a couple weeks ago, made 1050rwhp uncorrected on low boost (wastegate). It previously had twin 67mm turbos, and now its stepped up to a big single over the winter.

383
FAST (old schooll non-xfi)
winter blend e85
Snow Performance methanol injection (very nice kit)
Boost creeping to 17psi

Had a couple problems
1) The torque converter stalls too low, it takes 7seconds to get up against the 4000rpm 2-step and only builds a couple pounds of boost. The 60' in the video was 1.47. This car should easily cut high 1.2's.
2) No hood (no time to get it fit up before the race)
3) Not enough gear. The driver said he was riding the rev limiter (7800) for ~400 feet of the end of the pass! That kills the mph a bit

60' - 1.47
330 - 3.741
1/8 - 5.581
MPH - 133.63
1000' - 7.167
1/4 - 8.549 @ 160.10

Not too shabby for pump gas. The funny thing is, this car was a lot easier to tune than most of the turbo hondas I do . It just makes a little more of a rucus on the dyno lol

Low res video: http://premium1.uploadit.org/c...0.wmv (I'll get a hi-res vid later)

Such a huge FMIC, and no opening to show it off! How is it getting air to the IC core?

Lets put it this way... it is t6 flanged, and it will pass a 88mm "go/no-go" test

Its cars like this that make me want to do a v8 next I think after the hatch cuts a 9.xx I'll build an 88 blazer with a SBC and a pair of 44mm hairdryers. Jim (the driver) has tons of experience with this stuff (his blown alcohol vega goes 8.19 @ 174) and he makes driving it look so easy

I will see if I can get the dyno vid online... when I was in the car for this latest dyno session, man it sounds a lot different than the twin 67mm turbos. Seriously, it sounds like a damn jet. You can definitely feel it gettin' down on the dyno, but everyone watching the car from outside says its a lot scarier... we strap the hell out of it and the car still climbs the rollers.

I'm the driver of the Mustang, Servion told me about this forum so I cruised on over. It's cool seeing a Mustang on a Honda and not getting bashed. Jeremy is a bad *** tuner, we could not have done it without him. A few more test sessions and we should have it dialed in.

Here's a video of my Outlaw car with a blown alcohol doing what it did best.

How much (street) power and you put through an air/air that size?

Buddy of mine had a huge thumper series turbo for his fox body but lost interest.
