Default K20A2 ?s

I am swapping a K20A2 into my 05 EP3. Some research then questions.

The K20A2 produces 197hp@7000rpm, 142ft/lb of torque@6000rpm. Redline is 8000.
This is the same spec as the EDM K20A Civic Type R.
Since all EP3s were made in the same Swindon, England plant, the Type R was shipped to Japan where Honda made some changes to the JDM model to make it perform:
215hp@8000rpm, 206ft/lb of torque@7000rpm. Redline is 8000.
The changes consisted of different camshafts and different ECU settings.

Also, the EDM Type R did not come with LSD, as did the JDM models. Both had a 6 speed, however, and the EDM did not come with Recaro seats.

The A2 I am getting has the 6 speed Type S tranny with factory LSD attached, so I will not have to worry about adding it later.
Anyone figured out the fix for the grinding issue with 3rd gear in high rpms?

My main question:
If I swap DC5R camshafts into the A2 with K-Pro tuning, I should be getting better than Type R performance stock for stock, correct? I am also running header to tip exhaust with no cat, and CAI.

Any discrepancies with any info above, let me know. Thanks.

Hah, not worth swapping a type s to type r. Nevermind, do it and I'll buy your k20a2.

Just get cams from a z1, they are prb's just like the k20a, except cheaper because they were also made here in the US. Both have same lift duration.

Even 160 sounds high. One thing it's got going for it is that sky-high redline, which helps raise the horsepower figure quite a bit. My EP's 131 ft-lbs would crank out beyond 180 whp if it could rev to 8K.
