I have a 2 way Kaaz LSD clutch type. The kaaz 90 weight GL5 gear oil is wicked expensive. I've switched to using Redline 75W90 GL5 gear oil but was wondering how much Redline friction modifier do you guys add to a full change in gear oil every 40-60k miles? I've heard anything from a capful to 1 part in 4. I haven't tried the friction modifier yet and it seems my LSD isn't grabbing as much.

PS some people use Ford or Chevy gear oil friction modifier as well.....

 

I use castrol 80w90. I don't use any friction modifier.

I just use Redline MTL and a bottle of Ford Fric....

No problems...

you use a whole bottle with every change of gear oil?

 

I use a full bottle of the frict mod. and then just pump MTL until it overflows and stops dripping.

That stuff smells like rotting grapefruit!! BleeeAHHhhhhhGhhhh!
