Default Passenger Side Window

Well heres the story, my window was cracked a little so I tried to pull it up(the button), and it didn't. So I pushed down and I heard a pop. Now it won't go up, and I can push it down manually. Anybody have any pictures on the passenger side door panel, or any ideas how to fix it? I was thinking that I should just take it to the local Acura dealership because I still have bumper to bumper warranty. By the way I have a 2003 Acura Rsx-S. Thanks for any feedback that you guys will give me.

If you still have warranty don't mess with it yourself. It might need a new window regulator. Fixing window problems aren't fun, lot's of bulls*#t involved.

If the RSX is anything like the EP3, the window system is a belt that turns on the drive motor (very few moving parts). But yes, if your car is under warranty, take it in. ALWAYS take it in when you have a warranty. It is free for you (money and time).

never knew there was a belt system. Interesting.

I've only seen the steel scissor like rails with gear and motor, but that would explain why the window goes down, so quietly.

Also, when the window is partially down you can grab each side of the glass and wrestle it down (a thief could do this so don't park the car with the windows cracked[unless you have sturdy window visors like the JDM Honda ones that snap into the window channel]), this is possible because the belt will slip slightly around the motor. This also has a downside since the windows rattle in the window channels from wind if you drive with the windows partially down.

Alright! Cool thanks for the insight guys. Going to go to the dealership tomorrow after school. It's pretty funny because as I was driving home, every bump that I would go over, my window would slightly come down. Haha, trying to find something funny out of the situation. Thanks again for the help.
