ignition key switch problem...
ok my civic was broken into and they broke the steering column at the key switch..didnt get the car because i took the batt out while it was sitting.. i got a new one but i dont want to use 1 one key to open doors and 1 for starting the car... i was looking and it looks like you could swap the guts of the broken one into the new one and use my original key.. does anyone know how to do this?
the guts arent messed up in the old one because they broke the metal at the top and it works.. put key in turn and watch the other end turn.. how much would you guess to have them retumble a lock?
