I have a 2000 ITR (USDM #590), I am putting a JDM 96 type r motor into it. I bought a header for a 92-01 gsr/type r. Will this fit? And I plan on getting a high flow cat to match the header's 2.5 outlet. The question is, will the header fit and when I buy the cat, what can I do to make sure it's outlet matches up to the stock ITR exhaust? All these fitment problems are driving me NUTS!! Whats my best bet?

 

the header should fit, I would do a search on here to see. I used to have a type r exhaust setup on my old LS and it fit. good luck

AFAIK the only fitment issues you can get swapping amongst B-series is trying to put a manifold on a B18 designed for a B16, as its shorter.

its a common mod over here for people with 1.8 VTi Civics (same engine as your GS-R), to use the 4-2 section from a UKDM Type-R as a cheap upgrade
