Default GAUGE CLUSTERS!! - Which Is The Easiest, Best Looking, Cheapest Cluster!

Long story short, I dont like my stock cluster in my 88 Crx Si. Doesnt look great anymore, lighting is insufficient etc.

What clusters swap in and look great or can be modded easy to look great?

Id like the swap to be as easy possible, hopefully always plug and play.

Ive still got the stock VSS mechanical cable

Just looking for info on whats available

Thanks

Unfortunately, the easiest swap would be a newer stock cluster (plug and play)...I've seen people use Integra and S2000 clusters but they are not "as easy as possible", swap that you prefer. There are cluster templates, indiglos etc that you can use and fairly easy to install but personally, I don't like it. What exactly don't you like with your cluster? Illumination? Simply get brighter bulbs...

The illumination is ****.

Brighter bulbs, being as there are a lot of bulbs in these things, will probably be $50 bucks

I also just dont like the old vehicle look that these clusters have

I think they have less than 10 bulbs...but yeah i hear yah...
But what do you expect our car's old You can also get a "condom" over the bulbs. They come in blue, yellow and green. I don't know who sells em but I found em here before. I tried putting the yellow ones on mine and they made the cluster brighter a bit.

I also heard that you can get better lighting by taking off the diffuser on top. Replace it with blue plastic wrap and it looks cool.
