Default change the harness plug?

I had a dx civic with a b16a obd0 in it that I wrecked. I bought a car with a buddy a 91 civic with a b16 in it he took the motor ecu harness and everything else he might need for the swap and I got the shell. I dropped the motor in it and realized the drivers side harness doesn't plug in, the car side is an 8 wire plug and the engine side is my 11 wire dx plug. I want to replace just the car side plug with my dx one. Any information on how I could do this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

why didnt you just use the harness that came with the shell and give your friend your old harness? thats weird though i thought the only one thats different was 88. was your old hatch an 88?

He took everything he thought he might need and I didn't think I was going to need the harness.. anyway that harness is going to work in his car and arguing with him to get it back will be more work than its worth for me. If I have to I'll go buy an si engine harness, but I was hoping I could get my car running right now for free.
And yes my old hatch was an 88
