Wierd Takatas?

I was just looking at several pics of takata harnesses on sale and i came across something.... some look different than others...whats up with that? are they fake?

These are what mine look like

now look at this one

the posts where i got these from, both of them have pics of the tags saying they expire 2011, so im guessing they're both made at the same time...

see, that's what i was questioning too, because the new gell pads are different as well!

yeah i believe fake have "Takata Corporation" underneath the large TAKATA

nay sir.. those are simply the old (1st gen) harnesses. The fake ones DON'T have exp. dates, have odd looking camlocks and the metal adjusters are different

My old Takatas were real and had "Takata Corporation" on both the gel pads and harness.........

uhh theres replicas on ebay too! i saw them awhile ago im not sure if its still on there or not but still.... check for fakes!!!

when 2011 comes...they actually dissentigrate....it's the approval that expires.

probably b/c their structural integrity over time (if used for what theyre made for), weakens and theyre not safe. just a guess
