Well, I have been debating if i should post pics or not... but here it is, I got this 84 CRX hx for 300 bucks and it runs ok, needs some TLC but it should be fun.
on to the pics.

Plans
I want to make it a weekend fun car or a track car, so i think suspension will be fisrt on the list of things to do... Also i is carburated so if i can find a cheap motor i.e. d16y8 and junkyard turbo, that would be cool, the best would be a K series, but they are WAY to much money...
SO more than likely I will end up Y8 and a turbo... but still the thing only weighs like 1800 lbs fully loaded... if that, so anything will be cool.

Edited in my plans^^^

As far as supension goes, i emailed koni about some shocks and they said that i would have to find them 3rd party because they no longer stock that year.

I have also seen some ITBs done on these cars reletivly cheap... so i may try that too since it is carb. anyways and i could get some good power out of them.

will do.. i just took her out for a spin and it needs some serious TLC before i get it to the point where i can start to mod it.

it definatly needs a new clutch, and a break job and an alighnment.
Interior needs to be redone or gutted or both and a roll cage put in... lol...

Progress will be slow because of school, but i hope over spring break... 1 week away... i will be able to get the interior looking good and the motor hopefully running right

Well, its been awhile, But i finally got some time to try to egt the motor running... I retraced all the vacume lines and there is still one that does not have a place on the carb... i started it up and it has an off idle hesitation... After about 2 hours of retracing the lines... It still does not work... Im not to happy about that.

For the next project (except getting the motor running right) i guess i will try to strip out the interior and clean that all up.

I found a d16y7 complete swap (minus harness) for under 500 bucks... I want put that in the car and turbo... I think that would be fun..

Anways, just thought i would update since it had been awhile

you have mentioned a couple times about swapping a d16y8. You might want to do some more research before purchasing the motor. It is no easy task to convert the car from carb'd to fuel injection. It requires replacing the gas tank as well as the entire fuel system. You would probably be better off pursuing some sort of weber sidedrafts and just building the motor, or something like that...

Good luck, you certainlly have your work cut out for you

hmm... Side drafts would be kind of cool... that would make some good power... I guess the first task would be to get it runnin reliable first before i go and make any real changes... But i will look into that as an option.
