Default boost

i have access to a turbo manifold for very cheap from my best friends older brother, he got it from an eclipse he parted out a while back and it is just laying around, he is confident he can fit it into my r18 and run about 8 psi with it. my question is would it be very hard to find all of the other components besides the manifold that will fit my civic? and if anyone knows how much other parts would be that would be great. thanks

R18, not K20.

But this would require a lot of welding, and if it's just a log manifold in the first place, its the least of your worries. YOu'd need a lot of extra stuff and then figure out tuning.

This is a picture of the R18 cylinder head. The arrow is pointing to the outlet of the exhaust from the head. The "exhaust manifold" portion is integrated into the head's casting. The Mitsu manifold is a 4-1 design, and so will not work. For your car, you need a 1-1 adapter to bolt the turbo to this outlet.

Your buddy cleary has no idea what he's talking about and I definantly would not let him tinker with my (brand new) car!

The problem lies in the manifold (see picture posted above) ... the turbo would probably work but how you attach it to the head is the main issue.

When you consider the potential consequences of screwing a job like that up "probably" just won't cut it. At least not for me.

I would consider means of fabrication elsewhere.
