Poor radio reception
I've had this same problem now in 2 different civics. I put in an aftermarket radio and I can't pick up radio stations hardly at all. The stock radio picked everything up just fine. I put that same aftermarket in 2 different (non honda) vehicles and it picks up stations just fine. Is there a part that I am missing or something I need to do to get it to pick up radio stations?

lol this doesnt give more power to the antenna reception...
get an amplified antenna at pepboys , 14 bucks... thats what i did
and its hidden under the headliner, and then you will have an excuse to use the antenna block plate and you wont just be a poser

I don't remember if the ek's also have the budget 'pull-it-out-yourself' antenna, but I know with my eg you have to pull the little bugger out to pick up anything..
Yeah, both of my civics had/have the pull out style antenna. My first one was broken off so I just figured that was the problem. But this civic, that has the full antenna gets the same reception, even with different aftermarket radios. I think I will just go buy one of the amplified antennas. Thanks for the replies.
Is this what I should be looking for?
