Default 97 del sol alarm help power lock wires

im installing my alarm and all the sites ive found say that you can pull power lock wires from the 20 pin harness from the drivers side door. well i got the harness out. acording the all the diagrams the wires are green/white and green/red. well ive only got a green/red the green/white wire in this harness is a bigger gauge and has 2 orange hatches where the one from the door only has one. all so there are some cut wires on the this plug and i found a tap conector on the the green/red wire wich i belive to be the lock wire.

so i guess my question is what are those wires that are cut i cant find them in a wiring diagram and is this the corect harness

Your locks are neg trigger, so test the green wires. Put one lead of your meter to 12v, the other lead to the green/white or green/red and hit the lock switch. If it reads 12v then goes back to 0, you've got the right wires.

I remember doing a Del Sol and the door lock wires were not where directechs said they would be. I searched all over and then finally I just gave up and went right to the switch in the door. From now on, I charge extra for Del Sols.

Strange, I'd think the green/white or green/red wires in the connector would actually lead to the door switch. How'd you go about feeding the wires to the door? That wire bundling is packed tight into the door hole!

I wire-tapped the alarm lock trigger wire to the Grn/Wht lock wire on the Del and it unfortunately didn't work. I'd heard of other people having this exact same problem and simply wiring at the driver's switch in the door for simplicty, but...

a) The grn/wht wire is in series with the switch (i thought) to the lock relays so I'd expect it to work

b) Going through looks like an impossible for a newb like me!

(Sigh) I'll see if i can get some measurements to confirm the coorect wires and if that's a no go, then i guess me and the Honda key will continue staying good friends.
