the stock internals are fine for about 500hp but with what your goal is in power your going to run into problems.. right now im doing a full bottom end build sleeve, pistons the works.. i would suggest do it all at once why spend money and have to redo it?
Only know one person pushing a lot of stock sleeves. Making 540/400 ft lbs, Eagle/Wiseco combo, and a stock block. Motor has been running strong for quite a few months.
But look at how many high hp stock sleeve b series motors there are. K series sleeve thickness is incredible compared to say a B18.
My vote is to have a pump/race gas tune. One making 400+ and the other reasonable. Therefore you can daily drive on a safer tune.
If you are looking to make 500+ I would sleeve due to longevity reasons. My 2 cents

I already answered your question. Either take my hands on experience or someone from the internet who talked to some guy somewhere in a parking lot sometime.
Personally... I would sleeve the motor... but with proper tuning you can beat the **** out of the stock sleeves.

Go over to FI and do a search. There's a thread going on with highest HP K series blocks.
Also, I've tuned more than just one. I just posted one up... if you want I'll post 8 more charts if it makes you happier, lol.
