FIT ENGINE SO LOUD?
me and my uncle went to test a fit the other day and noticed the engine is very loud. louder than any other car ive ever sat in. Not even full throttle, 2/5 throttle. it has 5miles on it
I actually thought that the Fit was remarkably quiet, atleast when compared to my rattle-trap Civic Wagon. Road noise is much better suppressed, and at idle, I couldn't even feel or hear the engine that well. Once under way, yes, there is some engine noise, but I never found it annoying or uncomfortably loud. Compared to the 04' CRV we test drove, the Fit had little/no tire and road noise.

I would bet the Fit motor is a bit louder due to the stroke. It's torquey in relation to the hp.

If you think that's loud, please don't come to the drag strip. lol After being involved with race cars and loud motors, this car is a welcome peace and quiet to me. But, I can see how in this day and commuter age it might seem loud. But, it really isn't.

J/k, I noticed it's a tad loud, too. Car and Driver also complained.
