Default Valves might have bent?

i put a new timing belt on my car....when i started the engine a loud screaching noise came from the engine, which started and ran shakey. i immediately turned the engine off......found out i didn't tighten the belt enough so it started skipping gears. After redoing everything and tightening the belt.....i started the car once again but this time it ran fine. i took the car for a spin and everything seemed all right except, after warmingup, my rpms ran oddly low at idle (about 400pms). Is it possible that i might have bent valves??? i didn't get a chance to do a compression or leakdown test but i was wondering if anbody had some input??

You can't get the idle RPMS to go up?

You used the corrected method of adjusting the idle? (unplugging the IAC, and reseting the ECU, etc)
