Default Clutch cable removal.

How do you get a clutch cable off? I spent a while and all that happened was that the bottom nut kept turning the entire cable and wouldn't come off.

you should see a platic nut at a bracket hanging off the transmission. back this nut off until there is slack in the cable. There is a slot on the bracket that the cable can slip through and same goes for the fork going into the transmission.

The plastic nut is the problem I'm having getting off. It's a nut that's got a very thin end, like the socket barely fits on it. And everytime I try to turn it, the clutch cable turns to. And it's the same nut that's on the end of the cable connected to the tranny bracket.

You should be able to pull up on the cable housing to loosen tension off of the plastic nut so you can loosen it.
