Local junkyard? Or, go to an auction like http://www.iaai.com, http://www.copart.com, etc. find a dealer there, ask him to bid on a car for you for a fee. Or just register yourself.

wouldn't it be easier to start with a complete insight? Delete the fender skirts, stick on a 01+ civic front clip, new wheels, done. If your putting an insight clip on a CRX, it will look like an old crx with an insight clip.

actually if you look close that photoshopped "new rex" is an insight and it doesnt have a 01 + nose....plus it wouldnt look like an old rex since Im reworkin the sides...also the idea of gettin an insight shel is pointles cause I could never register it and drive it

Photo shop has little to do with reality. Have you even measured the two cars to see how close the bodies line up. I'd assume they are plenty different and if you are asking these kind of questions here, you definitely don't have the experience to do this sort of fabrication.

What are you going to do with an Insight front clip? Think you can join the aluminum Insight clip to a steel rear clip safely?

you just need body panels and headlights... Obviously, you're talking about grafting panels, making a radiator support from scratch, etc. You don't need a clip. Just buy replacement parts or parts form a totalled car.
Sounds like everyone else is trying to over complicate things...

Why can't you register an insight shell? It has a VIN number.

im sorry Ill clarify again I need the fenders headlights hood and bumper...sorry people over complicate **** the rest of the body will be fabbed by hand...and the reason you cant register the insight would be...1 to expensive to buy a running one to tear apart....so you would have to get one not running...and 2 after the swap would be complete, even buying a broke one, the car would never pass for a electric hybrid that puts out almost no emisions...so you wouldnt be able to register it in ct
