what can cause engine to skip a cylindar?
I have put a new dizzy on, replaced cap and rotor, gotten it timed and the engine is still skipping a cylindar. What could be causeing this? Could it be an O2 sensor? or what else?
I replaced the spark plugs and the wires are pretty new. I am getting spark and gas and power. I am going through gas like a race horse so one of the cylindars isnt firing and I dont know why. What do you mean by compression? How could I check or get it checked for compression?
this is what the link said that I do not know how to do :
To check compression manually with a gauge, all the spark plugs must be removed. The ignition coil must then disabled or the high tension lead grounded.
How do I disable the ignition module? I know it is in the distributor, should I just unhook the wire harness that goes to the distributor?
